Disability Justice Australia Inc. (DJA) is Registrable Australian Body (ARBN: 629-441-078) under the Coorporations Act (2001). The mission, philosophy and rules of the organisation are set out in the Constitution of DJA which is available to all members.

DJA reports directly to the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) and the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

We are also registered with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for exemption from Income Tax, GST concessions, the Fringe Benefits Tax and we are endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) from 1 July 2000 (ABN: 95 702 434 250).
DJA is independently audited and registered under the National Standards for Disability Services (NSDS) to deliver advocacy services to people with a disability and their families. This registration ensures our accreditation as a funded organisation by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services.

The constitution
The Constitution may only be updated by special resolution of a general meeting of DJA — with the support of at least three-quarters of the members voting (either in person or by proxy). The latest revision of the Constitution of DJA is dated 22 September 2021.
