Understanding the NDIS Webinar Series — Assistive Technology

When NDIA talks about assistive technology (AT), this means equipment, technology, and devices that help you do things you can’t do because of your disability. AT includes items designed to improve your daily life and help you do everyday activities. It may also help you do something more easily or safely. AT ranges from simple products to the complex systems.

In this free webinar on Thursday, 26 February 2026 (1pm – 2pm AEDT) the NDIS will be addressing:

  • What assistive technology is
  • How assistive technology supports independence and safety
  • How to access assistive technology through the NDIS
  • Explain product risk: low vs. high
  • The different processes for low, mid and high cost AT and the evidence requirements for each
