Disability Pride Flag Raising

July is disability pride month, a time to recognise and celebrate the history, achievements, and struggles of people with disabilities.

In a landmark event, this July will see the first Disability Pride flag raising in Victoria — 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm Tuesday 8 July at the St Albans Community Centre (33 Princess Street, St Albans, Vic 3021). To celebrate, and be a part of the historic event join the (free) DRC afternoon tea:

The event is free, but you are encouraged to register for catering purposes. The dress theme for this DRC event is cozy casual (colour and/or PJs).

Disability Justice Australia Inc (DJA) hopes our members and site visitors find this information useful. If you are not already a member of DJA, please consider joining — membership is free. Click here for more details
